# About Ares (Template)

### [Ares](https://glowfic.com/templates/2104)

#### **<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Personality</span>**

Ares is almost always a god of war whose favorite pastime is causing problems on purpose. He's usually more in the model of folklore Satan than of greater gods with greater concerns - he'll happily meddle in the affairs of random farmers if he gets bored. Still, he'll also direct and aid massive armies in conquest. He likes it when places are at war, though he usually represents smaller scale tactics over grand strategy.

#### **<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Origin</span>**

Ares began with the Ares from Xena: Warrior Princess, and is in his mold.

#### **<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Name Attractors</span>**

His names usually sound like Ares, often with the letters 'Ar' (preferably at the front).

- **[Ruby](https://glowficwiki.noblejury.com/books/decima/chapter/ruby-%28template%29):** Ares is a possible Ruby biological father; one of his instances is Art of Battle, the father of Lace (wrote-my-own-pain).
- Ares can also be the father of other templates within the Decima SI template group, but hasn't been yet.
